Final Days

We're in the final 2 days now! We have a couple more Stretch Goals to unlock and we're hoping that we'll manage to get through them before the end. Thank you all for supporting the Kickstarter, if we unlock Florian it means that we're getting 30(!!!) new miniatures produced for the Dunkeldorf range. We had 17 standard miniatures in the first campaign, so 13 more in this one PLUS all the furniture, accessories and more. That's pretty awesome in our book and we couldn't have done it without you! :D

Ulrike the bard performing her grand finale!

All-in Pledges

We hope this doesn't look too messy, we'll make sure to give you a good nice overview with pictures in the Pledge Manager, if you're unsure about any of the stuff below, just keep your pledge amount as it is and wait for the Pledge Manager before you change anything :) - If you already know that you want a bunch of the new stuff, then perhaps some of the information below might be for you!

The All-in Pledges will be available in our Pledge Manager coming up after the end of the campaign (More info coming about that later on). If you are already planning on going "All-in" in the Pledge Manager you can consider adjusting your pledge now to help unlock the final Stretch Goals. Alternatively you can wait until the Pledge Manager comes up and upgrade your Pledge there instead.

For these Pledges we'll assume that the final Stretch Goal will be unlocked (An additional free miniature and a total of 30 new miniatures). The price for Early Bird backers will be lower in the Pledge Manager as you can upgrade to Early Bird "All-in" pledges. But the additional funds could go towards other Add-ons (Such as Accessories) or shipping :)

All-in "The Miniatures Pledge":

This Pledge is focused on getting ALL the new miniatures from this campaign. You will lose the option to choose miniatures from our first campaign (You can still get these as an Add-on) but you will get all the 30 new miniatures at a reduced price. Additional things are of course still available as Add-ons.

  • 12 Miniatures (13 for Early Birds)
  • 6 Free Miniatures (From Stretch Goals)
  • 12 additional Miniatures (A total of 30 Miniatures)
  • Philipp der Pfau (Peacock) & Isolde the Guard Chicken
  • 15 Table Accessories

Price: 835 DKK (Approximately: 112 EUR, 125 USD, 101 GBP)

All-in "The Peacock Pledge":

As above plus all the animals that are not already included as free stretch goals and the standard furniture for the sitting miniatures.

  • 12 Miniatures (13 for Early Birds)
  • 6 Free Miniatures (From Stretch Goals)
  • 12 additional Miniatures (A total of 30 Miniatures)
  • Philipp der Pfau (Peacock) & Isolde the Guard Chicken
  • 15 Table Accessories
  • 2 Tables
  • 4 Chairs
  • 4 Benches
  • 3 additional Pets (Kaizer, Felix and Adler) A total of 5 pets!

Price: 1035 DKK (Approximately: 139 EUR, 156 USD, 125 GBP)

All-in "The Prancing Peacock Pledge":

As above plus all remaining new Add-ons from this campaign.

  • 12 Miniatures (13 for Early Birds)
  • 6 Free Miniatures (From Stretch Goals)
  • 12 additional Miniatures (A total of 30 Miniatures)
  • Philipp der Pfau (Peacock) & Isolde the Guard Chicken
  • 15 Table Accessories
  • 2 Tables
  • 4 Chairs
  • 4 Benches
  • 2 Stools
  • 3 additional Pets (Kaizer, Felix and Adler) A total of 5 pets!
  • Ornate Furniture Bundle (Ornate Bench, Ornate Commode and Ornate Cupboard)
  • The Prancing Peacock Counter
  • Gowak's Meat
  • Large Ale Barrel
  • Groceries Set (4 resin food terrain pieces)

Price: 1265 DKK (Approximately: 170 EUR, 190 USD, 154 GBP)

These pledges will be available in the Pledge Manager. There are some new Add-ons missing that you can manually add if you want them. These are Wall Lanterns and the 5 upcoming Accessories Sets

If you missed out on our first Kickstarter, you'll be able to grab the original full Dunkeldorf set in the Pledge Manager as well, but this will be as an Add-on, not part of a Pledge.

Please ask away if you're unsure about any of the above, even Nana and myself had to be extra focused for these lists and the information ;) - Before I forget to mention it, all the prices in this Kickstarter are lower than they'll be in retail and with the All-in Pledges they're even lower. We want to make sure that you're getting a good deal by backing our project.

Heinz & Felix

The Noble Kid Heinz is ready to cause havoc in the Prancing Peacock now that his cousin Wilhelm von Struttendorf decided to bring him along for a little visit. Sonny even managed to sculpt Heinz' dog Felix at the same time too!

Sculpted by Sonny Bundgaard

Right now Heinz is probably my personal favourite from this campaign and I'm fairly certain that he'll grow up to be a terrible, entitled nobleman :D

Nana and I always end up not having any miniatures for Noble Kids when playing tabletop RPGs so we decided that we had to add one for this Kickstarter and we couldn't be happier with the result! He'll definitely be seeing a lot of table time in the future when we're playing RPGs.

Halfbert Unlocked

You've just made Halfbert (And Sonny who'll be sculpting him) very happy as he's now unlocked!

Next Stretch Goal is the detailed map of The Prancing Peacock which all of you will be getting as a PDF if unlocked!

We hope it all makes sense with the All-in pledges. You're getting exactly the same as you would with the Innkeeper pledge plus extra things and you'll keep your Early Bird status when upgrading in the Pledge Manager (Where the price will be slightly reduced to adjust for the additional miniature included).

Just to point it out again, especially to those who might be new to Kickstarter, you don't have to do anything now or before the end of the campaign. There'll be plenty of time to sort all this out in the Pledge Manager, where you can increase your pledge and choose Add-ons etc.

We'll be back with another update tomorrow. Have a great Sunday and let's see if we can't get the last 2 goals unlocked before the end! :D

Rolf the Agitator & Give-Away!
almost 4 years ago – Sun, Jul 05, 2020 at 08:57:16 PM

Rolf the Agitator

As I'm writing this, the latest character "Rolf Klinger, the Agitator" is almost unlocked! Rolf has avoided the wrath of Dunkeldorf's burgomeister for several years as he hasn't publicly criticised him yet, but Rolf's latest target is the town's popular Mond Festival and this does not sit well with the villanious "Leader" of Dunkeldorf who'll likely try to "get rid" of the agitator.

Rolf the Agitator - Concept by Mustafa Bekir

Rolf is one of the very few Dunkeldorfians believing that the Blood Moon is a bad omen. He insists that he has seen visions of terrible things to come and that the Mond Festival must immediately be stopped in order to save the town. Even though most of the townsfolk see the agitator as a complete madman, he has managed to gain a band of zealous followers that increases in size every day.

If Rolf can't get the Mond Festival stopped through the power of his words, he will be forced to "Do whatever it takes" to get it done instead and his followers are happy to do as he commands in order to "be saved from certain doom".

Give-Away!

We'll be giving away a Dunkeldorf Mug to 3 different "Innkeeper or Patron" backers! If you're interested in a mug, just write a comment to this update (Go to the bottom of the page). For your comment, we propose that you write an idea for a Dunkeldorf character you would like to see in the future or write which of the current characters/miniatures you like the most!

If you're watching this update on your (smart)phone you may need to set the Kickstarter page as "Standard website" or something similar before you can actually see or write comments for this update.

Please stick to writing a comment in this update and not on the campaign's main comment section as that makes it easier for us and we'll avoid too much clutter in the normal comment section! :)

Front and Backside of the Prancing Peacock mug

Bonus Give-Away

This is something we're really excited about as this is the VERY FIRST metal cast of The Prancing Peacock miniatures. We are super excited about our new casters' work and the quality of their casts and we thought it would be fun to give one of you a sneak peek at what you can expect.

It's a challenging task (At least for me) to take pictures of unpainted metal miniatures and it looks so much better in person. It helps if you paint them with a black ink to highlight the details, but we of course wouldn't want to do that for this photo only. You may not be able to see it, but it's incredibly detailed and we can't wait for all of you to actually get these miniatures, but for now, one of you gets a little preview!

The first winner we pick for the mug give-away will also receive this "Special to us" metal cast of Erhardt!

On Wednesday we'll randomly pick 3 winners from among those who have commented and announce the winners in an update. After that the winners just need to send us their address in a private message and we'll get them shipped out right away :)

Stretch Goals & More

I took this picture the other day of all the wonderful pieces that Radek Szwalgin (Ristul's Creations) has sculpted for our campaign. All of these are available as add-ons and will be part of the "All-in Prancing Peacock Pledge" being added to the Pledge Manager as mentioned in the previous update.

Sculpted by Radek Szwalgin

Stretch Goals will be updated tomorrow with new ones being added too!

Have a great Sunday everybody, we hope you'll want to participate in the give-away! So go ahead and write a comment here in this update with an idea for a Dunkeldorf character you would like to see or which of the current characters/miniatures you like the most.

Gowak & New Stretch Goals
almost 4 years ago – Sun, Jul 05, 2020 at 04:29:28 PM

Gowak the Butcher

This is a character from our first campaign and a key character in the Dunkeldorf story that we plan to tell in the Dunkeldorf RPG Source Book (More on that further down)

The dwarf Gowak isn't fluent in "the common language" and has had a rough time in Dunkeldorf despite having settled here several years ago. His business isn't doing too well and the townsfolk have made a habit out of mocking and ridiculing him whenever they pass his butcher shop. Gowak's often misleading sales pitches about his "Tasty dwarf wiener" is only making the mockery worse for the dwarf.

Over the last few weeks, Gowak has grown more and more frustrated with the townsfolk and a week ago he finally lost his temper and ran out of his store yelling at and chasing a noble kid (Looking at you Heinz) down the street with a meat cleaver in his hand.  Gowak never caught up with the kid, but the encounter was immediately reported to the Burgomeister Herman Geizhals, but much to the surprise and outrage of the town's nobility, there have been no consequences for the dwarf yet.

When the Blood Moon appeared above Dunkeldorf a few days later, things only started getting worse for the dwarf. He can't sleep and spends most of the night just staring at the ominous red moon in a trance, as his mind is filled with strange visions and chilling thoughts.

Gowak and his pet pig "Bruno"

Last night when Gowak was approached by the Burgomeister's manservant Linus Witzner, who came with a strange request directly from the Burgomeister himself, the dwarf's story took a dark turn that the townsfolk of Dunkeldorf had never dreamt could happen.

The Dunkeldorf RPG Source Book

A few of you have asked about our plans for the Dunkeldorf book and we thought it would be a good idea to tell a bit about it in an update. If the RPG aspect isn't your cup of tea, go ahead and skip this bit!

When we started working on Dunkeldorf, the book quickly became something that we wanted to do and still is. A lot of the characters are NPCs taken directly out of our own RPG campaign where a long adventure was based around the story we're telling with Dunkeldorf.

The goal is to create a "neutral system" book, where you can find all the information needed to "Import" Dunkeldorf into your own fantasy campaign or even base a campaign around the town, no matter what RPG system you're playing.

Even though we have a lot of ideas for the book, the release is not around the corner. We want to get it done right, but at the same time we want to keep full control of the story to make sure it's our own vision of Dunkeldorf. Our plan is to do all of the "Groundwork" and then get help by a professional writer with RPG experience to help us turn it into a proper book that we can be proud of.

Stretch Goals & Next Week

Sabine the Night Watch is almost unlocked (An extra free miniature to all Innkeeper backers!), thanks for all the feedback in the last update. We'll make sure to take all your comments into consideration when choosing the final version of her.

A new character has been added to the stretch goals! This is Uwe, the elderly, hearing impaired former pi.. I mean former sailor. No pegleg for this one, we figured we had enough of those ;)

Concept by Alessio Cisbani

Next week we'll have a lot of exciting new things to show, including freshly finished sculpts and painted versions of Guidobaldo & Frieda! So don't worry, in the next update we'll be back inside the cozy Prancing Peacock inn, where we'll focus on the cheerful merchant "Guidobaldo de'Foscari".

On Tuesday we're halfway through the campaign with plenty of time to get more stretch goals unlocked. We have made sure to have additional character concepts ready for the last half of the campaign and there are some pretty good ones in the bunch that we hope to unlock and get started on before the end!

Oh and before I finish the update, I have to point out that I'm a bit disappointed that not a single one of you have commented on my little pun related to one of the latest unlocked stretch goals :D (Not to worry, it's so cheesy that it doesn't deserve a mention)

That's it from us, it is Sunday after all. Have a great day and a big thank you to all you new backers who have joined us!

Maude, Kaizer, Accessories & More!
almost 4 years ago – Sun, Jul 05, 2020 at 02:20:52 PM

Hi everyone! This update is a bit overdue and was meant for yesterday, but instead you'll get a slightly longer update with more pictures!

Maude the Bounty Huntress

Maude had barely arrived in Dunkeldorf before she went to the Prancing Peacock after having learnt that a group of "Mercenary types" had just been there asking for a man described exactly as the one she's after.

It quickly became clear to Maude that the townsfolk knew her target as "Wurt Kerter" a man who arrived in Dunkeldorf a couple of months ago and had since been living in an abandoned woodcutter hut in the Gruselwald forest.

Sculpted by Sonny Bundgård

As luck would have it for Maude, these mercenaries had decided it was too dangerous to venture out into the forest at this hour and had gone to a cheaper establishment to rest for the night.

She too knew that venturing into the forest in the middle of the night could be extremely dangerous without knowledge of the area, but if she wanted to get to this "Wurt" character before her "Competition", she had no choice but to leave right away.

Kaizer, Joseph's Dog

Joseph's dog "Kaizer" is finished and ready to be sent off to the casters! He's a wonderful little companion who's willing to carry your favourite alcoholic bevarage, warn you of any dangers and even viciously bite anyone trying to harm you.

Kaizer (The Dog) - Sculpted by Alessio Cisbani

We had originally considered a similar design for Bertha the Ratcatcher's companion in the first campaign, but we ended up with the vicious cat Bull for her instead. This campaign was a good opportunity to add the "dog version" of Bull and we thought that Joseph would be great as the owner of Kaizer :)

Accessories Sets

We are planning to release a total of five or six sets of accessories that will be available in the Pledge Manager and below you can see the first two of these.

1. The Candles & Lanterns Set

2. The Prancing Peacock Cuisine Set

There'll be a set with tankards and bottles, a set with the jug/pitcher, goblets and wine/brandy/potion bottles. The fifth set will be a sort of "Adventurer's Set" with a bit of mixed clutter to place on the tables.

We're unsure if we'll have time to finish the sixth set in time, this would be a sort of "Decoration" set with flowers, busts and such for the commodes (But the flowers could of course be used for the tables too)

We're still working on the price for the sets, they'll vary a bit in size so they'll most likely be set at different prices. We'll know more soon :)

Remaining Stretch Goals

Here's a sneak peek at the next Stretch Goal character, after this one there's only 1 other character left! The proprietor of The Prancing Peacock, Littleton Proudcock recently sent a letter asking for his cousin "Halfbert" to come help him out during the Mond Festival. Littleton had actually planned for him to be a part of his "side business" but it's been many years since Littleton last saw his cousin and he had happily forgotten that Halfbert is rather simple-minded and lazy.

Halfbert enjoying a mug of ale instead of working (Concept by Christian Schwager)

With 6 days to go (The campaign is set to end on Tuesday 11 CET), we have been a bit unsure on how we'll be handling the remaining Stretch Goals but we have decided that tomorrow we'll be revealing all the remaining stretch goals!

Our first Dunkeldorf Kickstarter was very busy in the last 3 days, and hopefully that'll be the case again as we would love to see these final ones unlocked, so we're crossing our fingers for an exciting final week.

I know that Sonny would be extremely dissappointed if he doesn't get to sculpt Halfbert, so let's get this lazy (And waaaay too talkative to be a part of an illegal smuggling operation) guy unlocked before the end! :D

The Give-away & Next Update

Thank you all so much for the wonderful suggestions you gave in the last update, we'll announce the winners in the next update and talk about a few of the suggestions and how they might make it into the Dunkeldorf range in the future. Because so many of you participated and came up with these great ideas we have decided to increase the number of give-away mugs to 5 instead of 3.

We'll talk about the new stretch goals in the next update, show more pictures (Including the painted version of Frieda) and we hope to have some more info ready on the "All-in Pledges" and the Tavern Counter add-on!

Innkeeper Pledge & Pledge Manager
almost 4 years ago – Sun, Jul 05, 2020 at 02:15:29 PM

Hi everyone! This update might be a bit heavy to read through as it contains a lot of information about The Pledge Manager and the options in it, but I hope it answers some questions and will give you insight into how we're planning on doing it. If you're not worried or interested in all of this before the Pledge Manager comes up, just skip that part of this update ;)

The Innkeeper Pledge

This is an overview of what you're getting for free with the Innkeeper Pledge. We want to update this picture throughout the campaign and for that reason we haven't glued the accessories to the table..

That means that I have to place everything very carefully on the table with a pair of tweezers and today things didn't exactly go my way. Nana politely asked me if I was having a bad day after hearing a lot of cursing and me going "Aaargh!" from my little photo room. I'm certainly not having a bad day, but that table is pretty damn cluttered with tiny stuff :D

This is what you're currently getting for free with The Innkeeper Pledge:

  •  5 Miniatures of your choice (6 for Early Bird Backers)
  •  Philipp der Pfau (The notorious peacock!)
  •  Isolde the Guard Chicken (Not included in the picture)
  •  3 Tankards, 2 Bottles, 1 Jug, 1 Goblet, 1 Large Candle, 1 Small Candle, 1 Bowl of Fruit, 1 Wicker Bottle, 1 Bowl of Stew, 1 Peasant Platter & 1 Lantern
Table not included & Isolde is missing from the picture

I really hope the picture includes everything I have just listed (with the exception of Isolde), because I'm not taking a new picture of this for at least another 5 days ;)

We want our Kickstarter to be as exciting to follow as we can possibly make it and we also want you to feel that you're getting a good deal and not just placing a pre-order on the miniatures, so we hope you're happy with how it's looking so far!

The Pledge Manager

Once the campaign has ended, we need to prepare the Pledge Manager. This will take us a few weeks as we have a lot of things for this campaign and we need to have the sculpts ready for you to see. Once it's ready you'll receive an e-mail with a link to the Pledge Manager. Here you'll be able to choose the miniatures you want for your pledge and you can choose any add-ons you wish to purchase. You don't have to do anything until then and we'll make sure to keep you well informed on how it all works along the way.

Here's a bit of information about the Pledge Manager and the options in it:

1. Miniatures from the 1st Campaign

For your pledge, you can choose between all the new miniatures from this campaign. The 14 miniatures we had ready when we launched, the Stretch Goal Characters and all the miniatures from our first campaign. You can mix them exactly as you want to (This is slightly different with the All-in options we plan on offering, read more below)

In the Pledge Manager you will also be able to purchase the complete Dunkeldorf set from the first campaign with all the pets and accessories.

2. All-in Options

After having looked at the possibilities it makes most sense to us to add "All-in" pledges in the Pledge Manager. Early Bird backers upgrading their pledge would be upgrading to Early Bird pledges as they'll be marked as an Early Bird backer in the Pledge Manager (You'll keep your early bird, don't worry!)

These are the All-in options we're considering (All stretch goals are of course included) and there'll be additional discounts on all of these compared to just choosing add-ons.

  •  All-in "The New Miniatures" - You'll be getting ALL the new miniatures from this campaign, but you can't choose miniatures from the first campaign unless you choose them as Add-ons.
  •  All-in "The Peacock" - Same as above + furniture and accessories options.
  •  All-in "The Prancing Peacock" - Same as above along with EVERYTHING else from this campaign at the highest discount we can offer. Add-ons from the first campaign are not included.

Those who missed out on our first Kickstarter and want to go all in on both campaigns, could then take an All-in pledge and pick the "Dunkeldorf 1 Kickstarter" add-on.

So to sum up the All-in Pledges: They're focused on going all in on this Kickstarter alone. You'll get ALL the new miniatures, but can no longer freely choose miniatures from the first campaign (You can still get them). If you want some of the miniatures from our first Kickstarter or all of them, you would need to choose these as Add-ons.

We would like to hear your feedback on this plan as we want you to be happy with the options we can offer, but keep in mind that we can't add a lot of different pledge levels as it could quickly be confusing for you, but also for me and Nana when we need to pack and ship your pledges.

3. Accessories Sets & More

We will be adding 5-6 sets with accessories in the Pledge Manager, these will contain bottles, food, tankards and more to put on the tables. So if you want more than what you're getting for free with your pledge, you'll be able to get that! We'll tell more about these sets soon.

All of the Stretch Goals will become available as Add-ons in the Pledge Manager, so if you you're a Patron backer and aren't getting all the freebies or if you just want an extra copy of Isolde the Guard Chicken for example, you'll be able to get them later on.

Stretch Goals

Uwe the Old "Sailor" is now unlocked and a new character has been added: Ludwig the Pedlar! Stretch Goal graphics will be updated tomorrow with 1 or more new Stretch Goals.

Concept by Christian Schwager

That's it for this update! Hopefully all the Pledge Manager business wasn't too confusing. We want to keep it relatively simple and we think this is a good way to do it, but let us know what you think, nothing is set in stone yet.

In the next update we have a little give-away planned so make sure not to miss that one! :D
